About Us!

DEAD END GENERATION is a streetpunk band rooted in Den Bosch and Utrecht, Netherlands. Formed in late 2019, they started writing songs about failed democracy, corrupt systems, and an already dying world falling to pieces, then took that frustration straight onto stage.

Musically, Dead End Generation sits in the vein of US streetpunk like The Casualties, Career Soldiers, and Monster Squad: fast tempos, direct structures, and gang-shout hooks rather than polish. There is no bass player in the band, but reviewers have pointed out that you hardly notice it live. Clever use of modern gear and a thick guitar tone make the trio sound much bigger than three people on stage

Live, Dead End Generation is all about energy and interaction. Lead vocals and guitar trade lines in a question-and-answer style that gives the songs a dynamic, almost conversational feel, while the drums keep everything tight and driving. Klankgat described them as a band that “reignites the fire of fast and loud streetpunk/hardcore” during one of their first shows at Duketown Rebel Revival in Willem Twee.

On record, the band has released a demo (2019) and a self-titled debut album, first on CD (2022) and now also on vinyl (2024), which they carry to shows. Everything is recorded, mixed, and released within a DIY mindset

Since hitting the stage, Dead End Generation has played clubs, squats, and festivals across the Netherlands and beyond, including Duketown Rebel Revival in Den Bosch, Bratfest in Arnhem, Vogelpop events, the Tales From The Punx showcase at Baroeg in Rotterdam, the 20 Years of Knoflook anniversary, and PUNK NIGHT OVERDOSE in Torun, Poland.

After early shows with Ian on drums and a touring run to Poland, the band went through a couple of lineup changes behind the kit. The current lineup features John on lead vocals, Tennie on guitar and backing vocals, and Jeroen (Opgetyft, Noodle Army) on drums, keeping the focus on tight, loud, streetpunk sets that turn small rooms and festival stages into one long shout-along.
